                                     Kit

I recently took Kit in from a gentleman who is facing foreclosure on him home and can no longer care for her. She is a 20 yo POA. She is very friendly, even nickers to me when I call her name. She's easy to catch, groom, tack up, lead, load. She has foundered in the past and is now recovering. She lacked regular hoof care and is walking on the soles of her hooves currently. With regular trimming, she should make a full recovery. Once she is sound, she will be evaluated by a professional trainer. Kit was evaluated by a professional trainer 11/24/09. After the round pen work, my trainer rode Kit out on the trail through the woods while I rode my Haflinger and another trainer rode her large Hanoverian gelding, who bashed into Kit trying to play. Kit didn't bat an eyelash! She did incredibly well and is suitable for an intermediate beginner according to the results of the evaluation and trainer's opinion. If you are interested in Kit, call or email. Videos of part of the evaluation can be found below.

This picture is from the day she came to Sunshine Acres:

                                     Prince

Prince is a 15 year old mule gelding. He stands approximately 15 hands. He leads, loads, trailers, bathes, clips, is good for farrier and vet. He is UTD on vaccinations, coggins, farrier and on a regular deworming rotation. He is quiet, gentle, docile and low in the herd hierarchy. He is not gaited. He direct reins but is learning how to neck rein. He does not require shoes and is an easy keeper. Unfortunately he does need to be lip twitched to be dewormed because he hates it. He goes out alone, in a group, likes to lead but will follow.Come give him a try. You won't be disappointed. Asking $900 for sale or $500 for adoption.

                                     BJ

BJ is a 12 year old, sorrel QH gelding. He stands approximately 15.3 hands. He is very stocky and could stand to lose about 75 lbs. He is a former barrel horse but has arthritis in his left knee. Would make a wonderful trail horse or show horse (not for barrels please). Asking$500 or best offer.
